Terms of Service

Terms that match a learning platform built for practical exploration.

These terms explain the rules for using Informon as a personalized learning product for technical exploration.

Last updated June 17, 2026

1. The service

Informon is a personalized learning product for discovering, trying, and evaluating technical topics through Scout Loops, recommendations, notes, profile settings, topic requests, and related learning workflows. A Scout Loop is intended to help a user understand a topic, try one practical first move, and decide what to do next.

These Terms apply to the Informon website, authenticated workspaces, public pages, generated learning content, and any related services that link to these Terms. By accessing or using Informon, users agree to follow these Terms and any product-specific rules presented in the service.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Users must provide accurate account information and use Informon only if they can enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. Informon is intended for professional and adult learning contexts, not for children.

Users are responsible for keeping their email accounts, sign-in links, one-time codes, sessions, and devices secure. If a user believes an account or workspace has been accessed without permission, they should contact Informon promptly.

Informon may be invite-only or workspace-based. Access to a workspace may depend on an invitation, membership, role, or administrator approval. Team or organization use may require additional terms, billing arrangements, or administrator controls.

3. Acceptable use

Users must not misuse Informon, interfere with the service, bypass authentication or authorization controls, probe or attack systems, scrape at abusive volume, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, upload malware, or attempt to access another user's account, workspace, data, or generated content.

Users must not use Informon to submit unlawful, harmful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or privacy-invasive content. Informon is designed for learning and practical evaluation, not for spam, surveillance, credential theft, fraud, harassment, regulated professional advice, or unsafe automation.

Users are responsible for making sure their use of Informon, generated content, external tools, package installations, cloud resources, and commands complies with applicable laws, workplace policies, third-party terms, and safety requirements.

4. User content and learning activity

Users may submit topics, profile preferences, notes, feedback, contact messages, and other learning activity. Users keep ownership of the content they submit, but grant Informon the permission needed to host, process, display, personalize, generate, improve, secure, and support the service.

Users are responsible for the content they submit and for having the rights needed to submit it. Users should not add passwords, API keys, private keys, regulated client data, confidential company material, or sensitive personal data unless Informon explicitly supports that use in a later plan or agreement.

Informon may remove, restrict, or decline to process user content if it appears to violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, infringe rights, or harm the product experience.

5. AI-assisted content

Scout Loops, recommendations, summaries, and related learning content may be generated or assisted by AI systems. AI-assisted content can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, especially for fast-moving tools, commands, packages, APIs, pricing, legal rules, or security-sensitive topics.

Users should verify commands, code, sources, claims, setup instructions, dependencies, and external links before relying on them. Users are responsible for deciding whether an action is safe and appropriate for their machine, work environment, cloud account, data, and organization.

Informon does not provide legal, financial, medical, security, investment, employment, or other professional advice. Learning outcomes, skill gains, project success, business outcomes, and compatibility with a user's environment are not guaranteed.

6. Third-party services

Informon uses third-party infrastructure and processors for hosting, authentication, data storage, email, analytics, observability, payments, AI assistance, and other product operations. Users may also follow links or instructions for external documentation, tools, package registries, model providers, cloud platforms, or open-source projects.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, pricing, rate limits, availability, and security practices. Informon is not responsible for third-party services, and users should review third-party terms before using them or entering data into them.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Informon may offer free, invite-only, trial, paid, individual, or team plans. Paid plans, if offered, may cover saved workflows, deeper guides, team workspaces, usage limits, notifications, premium generation, support, or other features described at purchase.

Pricing, billing intervals, taxes, renewals, cancellations, refunds, trial terms, usage limits, overages, and payment processor terms will be presented before purchase or in the applicable plan terms. Unless a plan states otherwise, users remain responsible for charges incurred through their account or workspace.

8. Availability and changes

Informon may change, improve, suspend, limit, or discontinue features, plans, content, providers, integrations, domains, and availability over time. Some features may be experimental, invite-only, usage-limited, or dependent on third-party services.

Informon may update generated content, remove stale loops, change recommendation behavior, alter supported platforms, or modify the product experience as the service evolves. Material product changes, migration paths, or service-impacting updates will be communicated when appropriate.

9. Suspension and termination

Users may stop using Informon at any time. Informon may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if a user violates these Terms, creates security or legal risk, abuses the service, fails to pay applicable fees, or uses the product in a way that could harm Informon, other users, third parties, or infrastructure providers.

When access ends, Informon may delete or retain account, workspace, billing, learning, security, and support records according to the Privacy Policy, legal obligations, backup practices, and legitimate operational needs.

10. Intellectual property

Informon, the website, product design, software, branding, and non-user content are owned by Informon or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Informon technology or branding to users.

Subject to these Terms, users may use generated Scout Loops and related learning content for their own learning, evaluation, notes, and internal work. Users should not present generated content as legal or professional advice, remove provenance where it matters, or use content in ways that violate third-party rights or applicable law.

11. Disclaimers and liability

Informon is provided as an educational and productivity aid. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service and content are provided as available and without warranties of accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Informon is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, security incidents caused by user actions, third-party service failures, or decisions made based on AI-assisted content.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to every user. In that case, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Changes to these Terms

Informon may update these Terms as the product, providers, features, billing model, or legal requirements change. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of Informon after updated Terms take effect means the user accepts the updated Terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the Contact page.
